Konnichiwa Nihon. Hajime mashite, This is a voice from Thailand. I am Im (Pornpimon Somneuk). Last year was a good chance for me to know one of the nice training courses that offers participants among ASEAN countries visit Japan, a beautiful country with richness culture. Surprisingly, I was selected to become one of the IATSS members….Arigato gozaimashita. The leadership style I would like to realize in the future are deep understanding the background of issues, excellent interpersonal skills, and smart problem solving. Since IATSS is designed to support and develop participants’ leadership, within ‘participant-centeredness’ concept, I wish I will discover and rediscover my leadership qualities and learn how to exercise it. I am so excited to join the 57-day program to broaden my world with friends and staff. I know that I need to leave my comfort zone and to have the energy during those days. However, I will do my best. Take care and see you soon.
Since the first day I was selected to join the IATSS Forum, I had questioned to myself how would my life be… surrounded with ‘strangers’ from various personalities, tastes, cultures, etc. almost two months in Suzuka… During the programme, I gradually discovered the answers day by day through ‘tight schedules, busy days, and many papers’. Not only the leadership skills I have gained, but IATSS Forum also provided me friendships among friends, 22 of us including 4 Sans. We are Team Awesome with S.E.E. motto and still continuously ‘Thinking and Learning Together’. Importantly, contribution from IATSS Forum staff, professors, volunteers, and host family were very impressive. They show how nice and kind of Japanese are. Their punctuality and self-disciplines, both in work and daily lives, reveal why Japan is the gigantic leading country of the world. I have no doubt about that. Time flies, I am back to work and live in the environment I get used to. However, my life has been changed since I stepped into the IATSS Forum and got ‘such experience’. No matter how long from now on, I dare to say that IATSS Forum is one of my good memories…ever. Thank you Mr.Soichiro Honda for letting me experienced the Power of You…and the Power of Dream…
