Eye on the Prize
I had my eyes on IATSS forum three years ago. A friend of mine from Thailand invited me to apply for the forum and he tells me on how the forum, have greatly helped him to be a better leader and a better person. It made me interested. I had my goals set to apply to this leadership training program the following year. I passed my application and was invited for interview with the rest of the finalist, that same year, however, I was chosen as an alternate only from the two official delegates for the 50th IATSS, it was that only year that the program was held once only as supposed to the twice a year event.
On Never Giving Up
I remembered in one of the questions by the judges in my interview during my first application was, “if ever you will not be accepted, what you would do? I replied “I will apply and apply again until I made it” and glad I did apply again, and on my second time finally, I made it in the top. I have learned that in everything that we are doing, we do not give up, we fight until we win.
Once-in-a-lifetime Opportunity
I would consider IATSS as a knock in my door waiting to be opened, it was a call for me to experience new things and able to expand my horizon on various Asian cultures and business outlooks. I would expect learning new business strategies highlighting on business marketing, business socio-cultural responsibility and community development.
With this, I am ready to GET new learnings. I am ready to SET my goals for my country and I am ready to GO and expand my horizon!
