IATSS Forum

Once my Father said, we got to have a dream picturing our self in the future. Why? Because dare to dream means dare to create the path to our dream. One of my dreams is to create the world as a better place for living. Of course every leap start with a little step, with consistently we will find our self, leading to the path. So I am really hoping that this forum is another “step” towards the path. Therefore I am willing to participate in this forum with full enthusiast. As an architect my current job is about imagination and building dreams into reality. I have a dream trough IATSS forum not only during the fellowship program but the most important is create new ideas for further collaboration especially after programs, whether on our own country (between IATSS alumni) or even create greater collaboration between countries. Having new experience in each stage of our lives is always exiting. Selected as one of the participants that will participate and join others from fellow Southeast Asian to think and learn together certainly will become my new great experience. I am really looking forward to meet new people, learning new culture, observe the cities in Japan, exchanging experience and ideas along with participants that come from various type of field background.

Re-Imagining Future My late father once told me few things about life-learning lesson. First is about experience, he told me once that experience is a good teacher, he told me that they can gave you lesson, whether if it’s bitter or a fruitful one. Second is about being more useful for others or among others, because he believes that the more useful a man/women for others (such as people, environment, community, etc.) the more he/she become a better human. 55 days in IATSS Forum is not only a good teacher but also an inspiring journey to be able to re-discover myself and my dream. The experience throughout the journey not always a sweet one, there are always bumps in the way, however what I can really picked up from this inspiring journey is the most important. And furthermore other points that really inspire me throughout this journey is how can our existence become valuable for others and vice versa. To make action that has positive effect not only for our self but also others are the value generated. The first day we arrived in Japan, we met together without knowing each other, without knowing our similarities neither as well our differences like today. Good to know that now i have friends in almost all ASEAN countries and japan. It was our pleasure to be able to participate in IATSS forum. This journey is series of fruitful lecture from highly experience and inspiring people in program. We might have been through good and some difficult times during this program, however the real challenges are waiting in the future for us. We believe all of these experience at IATSS forum will be our provision and sharpen our aim and goal for reaching a better future for all mankind. For those who support IATSS forum program, all the staff, the committee, volunteers, and many more that has work with all your heart, thank you very much. For those who ha opportunity to experience IATSS forum, we still have many things ahead of us to be done, so never give up. For those who will soon experiencing IATSS forum, good luck and be one hundred percent there, do your best as a person and as your country representatives. Ganbate!!!
