Completion of the 43rd IATSS Forum

We are pleased to inform you that we successfully completed the 43rd IATSS Forum on May 31st, 2008. We would like to express our sincere appreciation to all the people who have given us generous support and cooperation.
In the 43rd IATSS Forum, there were 18 participants from 9 Southeast Asian countries. As features of the 43rd batch of participants, many are employed in education as teachers and instructors, and their average age was relatively high, 29.8 years old. As another feature, their positive attitude toward the program was remarkable - they actively asked questions and exchanged opinions in each part of the program, such as group study and the seminars. During 55-days of training in Suzuka City, the participants visited a number of cities, such as Nara, Kyoto, Nagoya, and Tokyo, and were also challenged by a wide variety of activities including a home stay and study tours. They made great efforts to achieve their objectives and goals, and as a result, successfully completed the program. We have heard that the participants, of diverse cultural and professional backgrounds, have established precious friendships and mutual trust, as well as, having acquired knowledge and skills, throughout the program, by sharing their experiences. We believe that these strong ties of friendship will remain in the heart of each individual.
