IATSS Forum Volunteer meeting was held
On Saturday June 5th, 2010, IATSS Forum Japanese Volunteer meeting was held at Green Park Suzuka hotel.
This meeting was held to deepen exchanges between the volunteers and the staff of IATSS Forum.
Forty volunteers (more than we expected!) attended this meeting and had a great time together.
At the meeting, our general manager Mr. Haga thanked the volunteers for
the understanding and the usual cooperation to our forum and explained
the content of the program and the transition from the establishment of
our forum.
After that he introduced the profiles of the 47th IATSS Forum’s 18
participants which were finally selected from 9 countries (from April 22nd
to May 10th, 2010).
We selected young hopeful participants from each country. (The detailed
profiles will be updated on our homepage at the beginning of September
so please check them out.)
After that, Mr. Koganei, our forum staff showed scenes of alumni events
held in 9 countries that were held at the time of the final selection.
Our volunteers seemed very happy finding the familiar faces of the
alumni’s photos. Finally, we showed the content of the 47th forum program
and introduced the parts that the volunteers can join in.
The volunteers showed ideas and requests for the Japanese Culture Introduction Day too.
The meeting was only 2hours long but it was a good chance for both volunteers and the staff of IATSS Forum to deepen their relationships.
