Applying Knowledge and Experience from
IATSS Forum & Paying Forward to Community

Message from Alumni

Mr. Lydio Espańol

My 55-day training with IATSS Forum in Japan has molded my character a lot in terms of thinking and learning together as a Team of young professionals from Southeast Asian nations who would someday become the future leaders in their own countries. I learned to love the culture of Japan through the variety of topics during discussions coupled with onsite community visits and homestays.

After returning to my country, I was able to imbibe some of the Japanese cultural values especially the values of excellence, quality, integrity and hard work, which led me to several achievements and recognitions in the different organizations that I worked with.

IATSS Forum has paved the way for me to my current position as the Regional Director of the Commission on Population and Development (POPCOM) – National Capital Region, a government organization in-charge of the Philippine Population Management Program.
