“So, you’ve been to the States, the UK, Europe, and several ASEAN countries, I guess this is just another trip..” And with that, my friend got a REAL frown from me. Japan is definitely one of my dream destinations EVER, because of the nation’s unique culture and philosophy. Yes, I do love Sakura flower, mount Fuji, scrumptious Sushi and mouthwatering Seaweed soup, but above all, it is the people who capture my heart. I’ve been strongly inspired by Mr. Soichiro Honda, whose life has touched so many others’ that his figure has become one of the Japanese’ legends, as well as world’s entrepreneur icon. Therefore, it is indeed an overwhelming joy and honor for me to participate in the IATSS Forum, founded with the inspiration from Mr. Honda’s ideals, under the motto of “Thinking and Learning together”. The program is a wonderful opportunity for me not only to have hands-on experience of the Japanese way of living and working, to expand my regional academic and cultural network with ASEAN neighbors, but also to test and develop myself further in various terms, especially leadership qualities. I’m really excited towards the program and can’t wait to see all of you!
