Greeting from Myanmar to all participants and member of staff from IATSS Forum! I am Kyaw Min Tun. I’ve been exciting to join the program since I was chosen. And I remembered that I had study my English language at one of the Monastery (non profit) in last eight years ago. You cannot imagine what kind of education I had gained from this monastery. It has a motto for all the students to be aware of while they are studying. Motto that we must keep in our hearts is “ ICE “. “I” for Initiation, “C” for Cooperation and “E” for Emulation. Our teacher had built a Team Spirit with this motto. In there, I had learned not only the language skill but also the social dealing skill which shaped me who I’m now. IATSS Forum is also a program which is similar atmosphere where I had been in the past. It was more surprisingly attract me to study together with the ASEAN nominees in the same place. I’m sure that I will learn and share different cultures and knowledge from all, beside, I could learn the Japanese culture, too. I’m so excited for this trip and hoping to seeing you all…
During the IATSS Forum, I learned not only the Japanese culture but also the culture of ASEAN participants at the same time. I noticed that Japanese people are discipline, polite, kind and hardworking. I was amazed by all the programs they organized for us in very details. All the members are working very hard and they take fully responsibilities sticking on their positions to ensure that all the programs are running well. I really appreciate Japan who organized this program to foster the young leaders of ASEAN by sharing their own experience including Field Study, Theme Study and Group Study. I had learned not only about Japan and Asean countries but also about myself. I found myself throughout the programs what are my strength and weakness.
