Hello from Thailand! I am "Mook" or you can call me "Pearl", which have the same meaning. I'm a Pharmacist and now working as a lecturer at the faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Prince of Songkla University.

I've firstly known about IATSS forum by coincidence from the internet and finally found that it's very interesting. This forum provides opportunity for participants across ASEAN to go to Japan, one of the most civilized countries in the world, for almost 2 months. Not only we, ASEAN representatives, can learn from each others but we can also learn from Japanese success stories through lecture, field study, homestay, cultural exchange and seminar. Thus, I kindly believe that those valuable 55 days will change my life a lot. IATSS forum would help me enhance my capacity, broaden my thought, expanding my experience, developing my skills and strengthen my strong points to become a good leader for our society.

Time flies so fast, there're only 1.5 months left until the beginning of 57th IATSS forum. I'm extremely excited to go to this once in a lifetime events and can't wait to see everyone in person soon.

Last but not least, I would like to say thank you to both IATSS forum committee and staffs in Thailand and Japan for giving me a chance to join a wonderful program like this, I will do my best in everyday ^^. And I wish 55 days in Japan will be an unforgettable time in my life.

Sawasdee Ka, warm greeting from Thailand :)

It's been one month already since we returning back to our home countries, but precious memories still freshly remain in my heart. Being part of IATSS forum family was a great chapter in my life. Spending time with all participants and IATSS staffs in Suzuka gave me such the beautiful and memorable experiences. I'm really impressed by how IATSS forum made this kind of opportunity for us to learn from Japanese success stories and also to learn from each of us. I learned a lot on how Japan develop their country through their own spirit and value and the way they design their future for their next generations.

What I've gained from this forum are much more than I expected, not only knowledge, skills and experience but also friendship, love and new family. 55 days seemed very long at the beginning, but the days passed very fast. Every single moments are meaningful and good lessons for us.

• Here, you can find the true meaning of friendship. It seems hard to believe that our friendship can rapidly grow within 55 days. With their love and great support, I believe in myself and gain more confident to do good things. Conflict might occur but it's not always bad, it cannot tear us apart, in contrast it can make us grow and understand each other more. Please enjoy every moments you have either good or bad times, then you will agree that "Thinking and Learning together" is not just the motto of this forum, it really happened.

• Here, you can step out of your comfort zone. No matter who you are in your home country, you can find the "new you" here in IATSS forum. It provided safe environment, both physically and emotionally, for you to learn. Do not afraid of any mistake, just accepting the challenges and trying to do something new. I know it's not easy but it's not that hard. Believe in yourself, don't underestimate your own capability, you can do it!

• Here, you can get inspiration and motivation for self and society development. At first, I believe that I’m a small person and cannot change our society. After various journey through theme study, field trips and seminars, I realized that we all can start doing from small things with small steps. We can collaborate with each other who have common purpose and same dream as us. Changing something need lots of time and effort but it's possible, just keep doing and don’t give up.

Thank you IATSS forum for this good opportunity in my life. Thank you for providing a place for us to learn and for believing that everyone has a room to grow. I’ll continue improve myself and take it into action to make this memorable program worth. I now know how can I make my society better, I’ll begin inside myself and giving opportunities for the others to grow also. For me, a leader is one who can inspire the others and bring out their abilities to achieve the common goals.
Thanks again for all my beloved friend, IATSS staffs, host families and IATSS volunteers, you guys really meant so much to me. Hope to see everyone again. Genki de :)

Mook, Thailand.
