IATSS Forum

Participating in IATSS Forum program more than 30 years ago became one of important guidelines for my career until now. At that time there were 3 things very memorable, namely the Japanese civil society with all its cultural attributes, honne-tatemae to make everyone comfortable, and on-time habit. In the course of time these three things enriched my insight in working on the side of architecture and especially on the social activities’ side.

At present and in the future it seems necessary to review what material needs to be learned at the Forum, based on the current trend of development of civilization and the limited natural resources for human needs.
