Ridha Voice before Participation
Wazaaap and Salam Negaraku,
My name is Ar Ridha Razak and I am An Architect, Trainer, Arbitrator, Adjudicator, Green Facilitator, Government researcher and creative community planner by profession. Currently I am the Deputy Chairman of Arcasia Committee on Young Architects (ACYA) that oversees the Asian young Architect’s developments up to 2020.
First and foremost, I would like to thank IATSS committee for this opportunity to represent my country Malaysia as a member of the 59th delegation. Indeed it’s an honour to be selected for this special program and hopefully be able to contribute as alumni in the near future.
It is truly a dream come true to go to Japan and experience its culture, people, systems and especially its Architecture. Having work with Developers and Consultant from Japan, I have been fascinated by the discipline and work ethics of Japanese Professionals and hope by going to this forum, it will expose me more to this culture and broaden my horizon to new experiences in life.
For the last few years, I have been moved by the concept of Andragogy Learning and finding new ways and methodology to conduct collaborative learning for better delivery of knowledge sharing to my students. Hopefully by the experience sharing and learning’s at IATSS Forum, I will be able to disseminate some of the new experiences to others in Malaysia.
With this opportunity, I’m also truly excited to meet the other participant from other countries with different back ground & expertise to share our knowledge and experiences particularly exchange of ideas in the area of the New Urban Agenda, Sustainable Development goals and their initiatives. This will be a valuable new experience to think and learn together as a team to explore and find new big ideas to be applied to our respected countries.
Finally, I hope that by going to this forum, it will enhance my leadership skills in many ways and prepare all of us to become a better leader in the near future. Looking forward to meeting all the participant soon and the greatest thing about making new friends is that they bring energy to our soul and mind. See you soon all’s.
