Hello minna-san, I’m Zara from Malaysia.
First and foremost, I’d like to thank IATSS committee for selecting me to become one of IATSS participant. It is indeed an honor, for this kind of program is very rare to find. It is a once in a lifetime experience that I can’t miss.
Having been travelling to Japan several times makes me love the Japanese culture even more. I often wonder how can a country become so organized and detailed in every aspect? What makes the Japanese have great manners and complying to the rules? Having these thoughts, I believe this has to do with the great leadership shown by their leaders.
Hence, I’m very excited to be part of 59th IATSS Forum, I’d like to learn as much as I can about Japan, especially on how the country tackles the community and environmental issue with the rapid technological and economic development. I want to learn more of Japanese culture, and I look forward for the homestay program as I can get in touch with the locals and live like them.
At the same time, I’d like to learn more of my Southeast Asian neighbours, on what’s going on in their countries and how they tackle each problem. Hopefully with all the sharing and lessons learnt, I can make positive changes to my family, work environment and community.
I welcome 59th IATSS Forum with an open heart and mind, and I’m sure great things are coming ahead, and my life will be changed by this.
Mata ne, see you soon! ?
