IATSS Forum

Hello everyone! My name is Phouthone Dalalom from Laos. I am very glad and honorable to be selected to participate in IATSS forum. It is such a great opportunity for me to get to know, learn and share experiences and ideas with other youth leaders of different nationalities, diverse cultures and leadership ability. I feel that this program will be full of joy and excitement during fifty-five days. Besides that, this will also be a journey of self- discovery to expose myself, knowledge, skills and attitude. I highly hope to be able to apply and utilize what or experience I’ll learn and gain from the programme as well as colleagues from other ASEAN member states to share and develop new initiatives in my country – Lao PDR.

I was so impressed to have a good opportunity to attend the IATSS Forum as IATSS Forum has given me a wonderful time, value lessons and wonderful experience beyond I had expected. The staff were also very helpful, friendly and polite to all participants. Besides that, IATSS Forum provided us very comfortable accommodation with good facilities, good food, good care and so on that made me feel during 55 days in Japan was so short. Another impression was all activities organized by IATSS Forum as these activities contained very good and relevant seminar topics with excellent lecturers, field study at different places that I could see, touch, learn and get first-hand lessons, and activities with Japanese volunteers were so great that enabled me to be more punctual, stay in good discipline, discover and learn more about myself – my strength and my weakness, which can shape me further not only in leadership skills, but also other necessary skills that could fulfill what I am lacking of. IATSS Forum also enabled me to learn more from other participants from different nationalities as each individual has his or her own potentials that could generate lots of ideas or different points of views, so I took this opportunity to listen more, learn more and gain more knowledge from them. Last but not least, I could make lots of friends and shared the moment of laughter and happiness with them as well as staff from IATSS Forum. This becomes my good unforgettable memory at IATSS Forum. All lessons I gained from IATSS Forum can guide me good path towards my future career.
