IATSS Forum

Hi everyone, I’m very excited and grateful to be selected to participate in the 53rd IATSS Forum. Japan and Japanese culture have always been a fascination to me. To be able to participate in this forum in Japan is like a dream come true. I’m also excited to meet the other participants from the ASEAN countries. This forum will be a good opportunity for me to identify and understand the similarities and differences between our cultures. Being a Leadership Training program, I’m looking forward to learning and improving my leadership skills especially when working together with a team of different cultural background and expertise. This will help me to become a better leader in my home country, Malaysia, where we live as a multi-racial society. I have a strong feeling that this Forum will help me to have a better perception on life and the people around us. Above all, I believe that this Forum will be another stepping stone in my life towards being a better human being. Thank you to the Forum Committee. Will see you guys soon!

Being able to participate in the 53rd IATSS Forum was a great privilege which I shall treasure for the rest of my life. Meeting other participants from the ASEAN countries and Japan was a good exposure to learn from each other and develop new perspectives. Staying in Japan and interacting with the Japanese people for two months exposes us to the cultural and lifestyle values which have always amazed the rest of the world. I am sure that the new participants will benefit from the seminars and study tours which will widen the understanding and knowledge. One of the program that I really enjoyed and learnt a lot was the Individual Plan Days at Kyoto and Tokyo. Participants should challenge themselves and explore these two beautiful cities to observe and learn more about Japanese aesthetics and lifestyle. The forum will surely be an unforgettable experience. All the best to the new participants!
