Salam from Malaysia!
Hi, I am Halami. First, I would like to thank IATSS Committee for giving me the opportunity to join this special program. It is a great chance to get involve, gain unique and unforgettable experiences since the platform will allow me to learn from the amazing Japanese and other ASEAN’s young professionals as well.
Since I was young, I have always enjoyed travelling to explore other people’s culture and interacting with others of different races, nationalities and backgrounds. A few of my family and friends have talked highly about Japan and I cannot wait to experience the beautiful country myself. Hence, I really am looking forward to the upcoming forum in Japan, which is less than 2 months away!
I very much hope that this forum; apart from being a platform to meet great people and visit new places, it will also be a place to enhance myself in many ways, broaden up my horizons and discover different perspectives from fellow delegates.
My very best wishes for a fruitful and constructive forum. Hope to see all participants and the committee soon, inshaAllah!
What Can We Learn From IATSS?
Konnichiwa from Malaysia!
Spending time in a very extensive forum like IATSS Forum is one of the best learning immersion experiences I can have in my life time.
I have been privileged to experience many memorable moments in my life but none more touching or memorable than this.
Whether you're from NGO, Private Sector or serve as a Government Officer, this program is some of the remarkable honor programs that give you a very good platform to expose yourself to the outside world and transform your mind set in facing the global competitiveness challenge.
In this 55 days forum, each participant together with the support of Japanese Coordinators professionally focus on ASEAN’s sustainable development by thinking and helping to solve the problems on deprived and vulnerable condition especially in low and middle income countries by producing a sustainable development plan than can be used to enhance and upgrade the quality of communities. These developing countries particularly from the ASEAN region itself have been critical engines for the global economy. Over the last 10 years, countries like Cambodia, Viet Nam, Laos and recently Myanmar start to growth as emerging countries.
From my point of view, Japanese societies are some of the thoughtful individuals in the world. They love introducing their vibrant culture to the outsiders, and sharing their experience sincerely to make the world a better place not only for the current generation but also for the future!
What I valued most and shall recall with enduring gratitude was the opportunity of sharing the experiences with so many friends and peoples from various backgrounds, ‘thinking and learning together!’
I only wish I could have spent more time with each of participants but the short period we spent together did not permit this.
Thank you very much for all kindness and great moments especially in Suzuka.
I was really glad to come and I hope to come again to visit IATSS Forum in the future.
I'm also telling others friends from my home country about this forum and our great experiences that we had during our stay there.
Arigato gozaimasta!!!
