IATSS Forum

Hello everyone, My name is Suthira Sangwan from Thailand or you can call me “Poom”. Thank you IATSS Forum for choosing me. It is my great pleasure to be selected as one of the participants in IATSS Forum batch#55 which will start in May,2016. I am very excited to meet new friends from various countries and eager to join and participate in the program. I think this program can broaden my vision and perspectives of ASEAN and Japanese paradigm in many aspects. Also, as IATSS Forum is a participant-centered program, we can express and share ideas and experiences about situations and interesting issues as we are from different background. I believe that it is very useful to Think, Learn and Grow together. Apart from knowledge and skilled improvement that I will get from the forum, to experience Japanese and foreign cultures, norms, and life styles is one of the most important things to understand. I think this will be a great time for us to relax, have a chat, make friends and get to know each other through many activities. It will bring us to be a close partnership and friendship forever. I will do my best to be a good ambassador of Thailand to Japan and ASEAN countries as well. Dear all my friends, and IATSS Forum staffs It is my pleasure to participate in IATSS Forum batch55. This forum is beyond my expectation. Thank you very much for giving me a chance to participate in IATSS Forum. To be honest, I never think that in my life I can get any scholarship especially Japanese scholarship. Thus, this forum means a lot to me. This forum is not only let me to learn about academic fields which can fulfill my IQ but also this forum teach me how “process” is important which enhances my social and emotional skills. Also, IATSS forum make me discovery a lot about myself especially a soft skill like being a facilitator. Moreover, I am really enjoy General Seminar, Field Study provided by IATSS Forum. I think this is the uniqueness of this program. In addition, I have a chance to experience Japanese and ASEAN culture and this leads to learn the way they think and their norms. For me, this friendship and mutual understanding between countries is more important than formal cooperation in national level. I could not tell you now that how big of the impact of participating in IATSS Forum changes my life. This is because the lessons that I have learned in IATSS Forum is not only explicit knowledge but also implicit knowledge that is growing continuously inside me. I am sure that if I face with situations or tasks related to what I have learned, I will suddenly know that once in my life time I get this experience from IATSS Forum and Japan. I hope that in the future I will have a chance to tell YOU more about what I have done or how I use knowledge and experience that I get from IATSS Forum for my work and the country.
